Germans

Xenophobia is an irrational fear of foreigners, probably justified, always understandable. This phobia usually occur to foreigners who are being exposed to a totally new environment. I am one of them. Since the first day I stepped on the former Nazi land, I slowly developed the phobia which make things tough but yet challenging and interesting. Much more than what I had expected, I am slowly accustomed to them. Looking back at their history, the Germans had been through plethora of incidents. From Martin Luther to Napolean Bonaparte and World War 2, these incidents shape their behavior. Prior to Germany, I had another different international experience from the country down under, Australia. I was welcomed by friendly Australians as well as their excessive partying culture. To compare Australia and Germany, it is like heaven and earth literally. They are different of course. On one side from the Down Under, people are tend to be more expressive and emotional in their conversation. Contrary, Germans are known to be emotionless or more towards not to show any emotions at all. One might even think that Germans are rude. I am not denying that at all. Not all Germans are rude but in general, they are pretty direct a.k.a. rude. Here is one of the good comparisons between a German and an Asian. (Blue represents German, red represents Asian) ANGER
